  • Beichen’s research interests span cultural sociology, historical sociology, and social theory, focusing on how individuals interpret and navigate their lives within institutional and historical contexts. Her work examines meaning-making practices in both everyday contexts and critical turning points, including shifts in self-perception through self-help practices, youth's future projections amidst precarity, and the dynamics of intergenerational relationships in modern Chinese society. She is also committed to exploring approaches beyond traditional academia to foster intergroup understanding and the liberation of imagination.Beichen received her B.A. in Sociology from Zhejiang University.
