Doctoral Student

Annetta Itnyre is a first-year doctoral student in Sociology at Rutgers University, focusing on Environmental Sociology. She aims to analyze the intersections between environmental issues and society’s structural dynamics, such as gender, culture, communication, and social institutions. With a background in Environmental Studies, her goal is to research across scientific and humanistic disciplines to generate more thorough climate and human solutions to looming environmental threats.

Annetta graduated from Indiana University Bloomington in 2024 with a major in Environmental and Sustainability Studies and minors in Gender Studies, Communication, and Public Advocacy.
