Doctoral Student

Sirine received her B.A and her M.A in American Studies at the Sorbonne University in Paris. She is now pursuing her PhD through a dual degree program between Rutgers University and La Sorbonne. Sirine is interested in solidarity-making processes among various immigrant groups in the U.S. Her dissertation research seeks to examine the trajectories of New York City street vendors-- Egyptians and Mexicans -- and their relationship to mutual aid and labor organizing.
